Kalahari!

We journeyed to what seemed like the end of civilization to hang ten with our friends the Meyers...we spent the weekend in a sweet compound full of waterslides, wave pools, surfing waves and lazy rivers...just say "cure for the winter BLAHS!" Sadly, I only remembered to use my camera in the hotel room...so you will just have to believe us! Hopefully the Meyers got some shots that actually document the fun part! Delia and Nora snuggling up after the long car ride...love the stuffed animal buffer..."I like you and everything....now stay on your side of the stuffy!"
There is nothing to say here....I promise they are both "within normal limits"

Bella in a rare shy moment with daddy...perhaps she had seen one too many stampeding elephant murals in the lobby...

Enzo and Henry...The Drone Wars... "How dare you snuggle my blue blanket...You have violated our code of honor...prepare to be dispatched"

"I do not fear your powers...I will attack first using my kicking wolverine...you shall be defeated"

"My superior Karate chop action will render you powerless...snaggle-tooth lord!"

You get the picture...we can sit in a hotel room and have a blast with the Meyers....you can only imagine how much fun the real events of the weekend were:)

Auntie Kara and G-luv make our DAY!

We enjoyed an awesome though short visit with some of our favorite people, Kara and Georgia (of course we missed you Brendan!:) They came down for a short business trip from Boston and the girls and I got to play with G-luv while momma was working the day away.
It is not a day with the Paradiso girls unless you hit the water in some shape or form...I prefer the beach but the little girls are just as happy in the tub!
Bella and Delia teaching Georgia some of their tricks...these children are always top over tea kettle...no pictures of the next frame where they collide mid-air and land in a heap on the floor...

G got lots of "help" this day...good thing she is chill...even I was feeling a little claustraphobic from all of the "mommying". G took it all in stride..."this is the life of a celebrity girls, my public comes first".

Kara and Georgia looking be-u-ti-ful as always

Georgia's attempt to stop the kisses....just plug that hole!

HaPPy VD!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We have been frantically making our favorite sugar cookies for the 3 kids three respective Valentine's parties...the kitchen is covered in flour and powdered sugar...but we have been having a blast. These cookies are so fun for the kids to make because you paint the icing on with paintbrushes...so now we have frosting floor to ceiling as well...but we all taste and smell delicious;)
Daddy wondering what smells so good...
Little girls trying hard not to eat all of the butter and sugar

Delia has NO idea how old she is. (or short)

Bella is my professional egg cracker...the girl uses finesse in this ONE activity...amazing;)

Yum....momma loves aprons!

Who is that TIRED woman! We had all been sick for two weeks prior...I guess it shows...only on me!

Getting ready to picasso some cookies

Happiness is a sticky heart cookie

Masterpiece?

Enzo hosting his own cooking show...letting Bella know exactly how this cookie is going to get frosted

Sea of Sugar

This cookie in particular was taunting me....

Proud little chefs!

Spring???

We RELISHED the awesome weather we had this weekend. The kids breathed deep and obviously rejuvinated their spirits. We have all been sick for the last TWO WEEKS...so the wonderful warm weather was really energizing:) Daddy almost finished putting the playset back together (last time it took many, many weeks! Poor Mikey!) and we all played the weekend away:)

We had our first playdate with a family in our new neighborhood...They have two boys and a little girl, Clary. As you can see she fit right in with our little fashionistas...they enjoyed a "fancy lady teaparty" and had loads of giggles.
Don't mess with Boots...she will take you DOWN!

The girls enjoying the 65 degree weather (in February...love it;)

Yes, Mike is actually smiling as he puts this beast back together...he craftily took it apart in HUGE hunks...so although he needed an army to help lift the pieces he didn't have the painstaking job of nailing it together board by board again.

10 mintues of work! Hooray!

Delia and Enzo succumbed to the sun... and enjoyed a catnap in a ray of shine.

Looks like we beat them senseless doesn't it? That's what happens when you get outta line;)

Tagged!

Okay! Kara tagged us to do the following: Go to your picture files, and open the 4th folder, then open the 4th picture and post...could end up pretty embarrasing if you have seen my picture files...BUT this is what we ended up with. Yup...bliss;) Kara I loved the feet comparison photo...too cute;)

I tag Penny, Charlene, Bugga and Amy:)

Winter Finally Hits DC!

This is my high-tech weather determination doppler-mahgigy... in my professional opinion we had about 2.5 inches...True, I must have been a pioneer meterologist in my past life.
okay, theses two pics are "post" snow play...but Delia's hair was driving me crazy so I took the scissors to it after our warm-up bath...what a diva.

hmmm...look like anybody we know...(not the naked part of course)...whoops.

The child loves to shave, and I love the child...but I got to wonder if she should use that razor a little higher-up???? See how there is so much eyebrow that the water just hangs out there....thank-you lord for wax;)

Enzo and I were not detered by our inability to build a proper snowman...instead we built a snow feifdom...

Complete with giant centurian guards (wearing what appears to be Shriner hats?????)

A slackers day off-school well-spent...throwing snow at your momma...what could be finer??

What form! This kid should be raised in real snow country...Farm stock I tell you....pure farm stock.
The girls and I had a blast...you can see all of the grass poking through our anemic snowfall...it wasn't much, but it did the trick...winter was magic again.

Well...one week earlier inaugural madness hit the city and we all survived despite 'Hurricane" warnings from local officials...this week it is winter madness...SNOW!!!! We got only about 2 inches...but you would have thought the kids won the lottery. Sad, sad Virginia children;) Of course school let out early so we played all day in the snow. I was so glad we got to enjoy it...as it is sure to be rained away in the night tonight.

Snaggle-tooth

After weeks of pushing and prodding it with his tongue....Enzo's front tooth finally bailed out...he stayed up most of the night waiting for the tooth fairy...but she was too durn sneaky. He has a definate whistle now when his says his "sssssss"s...good for chasing his sisters as a giant snake to be sure.By the way...you could send a team spelunking in the hole!

BELATED CHRISTMAS PICS

Grammy enjoyed some gingerbread house decorating with the kiddoes...We made the house, and Enzo made a "garage" for the gingerbread family...since Daddy really wants one:)

This is the welcome committee Zo put together for Santa...I am unsure if it looks welcoming.....or menacing! The Bionicle weilding laser weapons might be a bit intimidating...;)

Grammy and the kids with their tasty project....we put it out for the squirrels finally this week.
